This is Where Clearfield County’s Story…

Comes to Life

Our History, Our Home

The Clearfield County Historical Museum brings local history to life in the heart of downtown Clearfield. Housed in a beautiful home built circa 1880 for James Kerr, the museum sits along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River, surrounded by the same landscape that shaped the county’s story.

This museum exists because the county came together to save what mattered, including:

  • Local artifacts and everyday objects

  • Historic photographs and documents

  • Personal stories passed down through generations
